Nio, the author of WebBaker and an Ajax demo application, has written a tutorial about Ajax with CakePHP. But unfortunately, it is written in Chinese, so it is probably for most of you (and me) of low interest. Nevertheless, it is exciting to see the spread of CakePHP :)
